  2. Yeah. I'm in the UK and we have hundreds per week landing on our south coast in boats. They are literally 99% men. Men do not flee war or famine without bringing their wives and children with them.

  3. What I hear in most places is that people don't want the jobs. Nobody can find staff. In other words welfare is more attractive than work.

  4.  @GhostHandGamer  That's human behavior for you I guess. A more realistic scenario is you offering to pay people $100 per day... let's say to lay bricks - but there are a lot of people who'd rather take $50 a day to sit at home playing XBox. I can't say I blame them much - I'm self employed and obviously earning a lot more than that. And I have no boss which is a godsend in itself never mind the pay. I'd have to be in pretty dire straits to take a soulless worker drone job for some corporation - I've been there and done that.

  5. There's an interview with him after the incident where he basically says he'd been doing a lot of flying to conferences around the world and wasn't really recovered enough to be up on stage - so likely he was jetlagged and exhausted.
