  1.  @furtim1  I'm not sure the election was rigged enough to throw the result. But there was sufficient weird stuff going on to merit a full investigation. However the media basically telling 70 million people to shut up and banning anyone from talking about it - as the final straw of 4 years of smears, demonization and gaslighting of conservatives - was as much to blame for the anger resulting in Capitol Hill than anything Trump said.

Regardless of whether there was cheating, there was sufficient weird stuff to warrant a proper investigation - to allay the suspicions of tens of millions of people seemed the obvious course of action if anyone was remotely serious about "unity". Perhaps to quell the understandable anger of all these people and prevent something like the Capitol Hill invasion from happening.
