I haven't watched her for ages but I just remember during lockdown I watched her Di Angelo videos and they are actually good. You and I are both wise enough to know that saying something stupid doesn't invalidate your whole body of work.

As I recall, she was a pretty radical leftist before she got redpilled so it makes sense she will always have some hangovers from that, hence the impulsive behaviour and the difficulty with admitting fault. Aside from the obviously moronic KKK accusation, I think her point has validity though. DiAngelo admits her own perceived racism in the book, stating she feels more comfortable around whites than she does around blacks (of course she projects it onto the rest of us, as is the wont of her ilk). This attitude and that of the left generally is pretty racist in both directions, since it at once points the finger at whites as the oppressors, while holding blacks to lower standards than other races in all sorts of areas. The bigotry of low expectations etc, which yes I know is a cliche. In truth we could actually talk about whether it's reasonable to expect those same standards but that's a whole other conversation and here is the last place to have it lol.

While it's jarring when I see a 17th century English nobleman being played by a black actor, I recognise it's not fair to exclude all English classics from non-white actors. That would be silly. The issue is the way it's all framed in media as follows: All black cast = a victory for diversity All white cast = problematic That's all my point is.

  36. I think the answer seems to be they make very compliant, unquestioning workers. Perfect state employed drones. If you watch anyone who makes a video of them interacting with, say, a parking warden of this type. They are like robots, dumbly following the script in their training, barely able to communicate with the public and usually with no understanding of the wider purpose of the job they are doing.
