  1. It's commonplace on YouTube, even on entirely uncontroversial videos. Constantly there are drop down menus that say "4 replies" and when you click on it there are either significantly less than that or none at all.

  2. One thing they REALLY don't like is when you post url links. These almost always get removed. I'm guessing it's because, while spicy political comments are bad enough, allowing your users to then back up their "hate-facts" with evidence simply won't do at all.
