@andreabianchi6156 There's no shortage here either. Not until it was all over the front pages this morning. And hey presto like clockwork massive queues at the pump. The guy at my local Tesco told me there was no shortage, they had plenty of fuel - it was literally just because of the news.

Pssst... Latest news out of China (well, 18 months ago) apparently there's a virus pandemic spreading. Not many people here seem aware of it so let's not panic them.

@andreabianchi6156 The reason is that it was early in the morning. I hadn't even seen the news and was just topping up on the way to work, surprised to see queues starting to form. At this point, supplies were perfectly normal. If there had been no story about shortages then there would be no panic buying and the stations would still have their normal stock of fuel now.

@jjtighe8628 I visited the fuel station on the way to work this morning and supply was perfectly normal. Only when everyone read news fearmongering was it that panic buying started - and that is what caused the supply problem. I guarantee that this time next week we'll have all forgotten about this.
