Back in the days when we lived in an actual patriarchy, men who did this would get a visit from the woman's male family and friends to deliver a "gentle" reminder that this behaviour is not cool.

@dianacoles1017 Well, metoo did a lot to discredit feminism. That's the point of the meme if you're up to speed with the "culture war". Many people are now jaded and cynical about women reporting abuse, because of the hysteria of trivial grievances that women have been encouraged to report as violence. I mean we're all heard that "words are violence" these days, haven't we.

If you read the report, the largest group of both perpetrators and victims are teenagers, 13 to 15. So the music thing you mention probably has a lot to do with it. Also, easy access to unlimited porn, not only that but the extreme and grotesque nature of this material that can be viewed by any child with a phone.

I know... but as men, our role through history is to be expendable. All societies are slow to act until the cause is the protection of women. we should not whine about is for this is a womanly aspect.

Unfortunately the insanity of modern feminism resulted in the hysterical metoo movement in which women would feel like they just got assaulted by a man who asked if he could buy them a drink in a bar - and young women in colleges would often report it as such. Absurd stories emerged that a quarter of women on college campuses said they had been s3ckshully assaulted. And we are unfortunately left with a society that has a very jaded and cynical reaction to women reporting abuse.

@dianacoles1017 Well yes, that was the intent of metoo. But as we all can see, it was derailed by grifters. There were quite a few stories where a man's life/career/education was completely trashed because of either an outright lie or a young woman mistaking the normal advances of a young man as harassment. The Johnny Depp case was the poster child for this in many ways. And in those days, the media would pick it up and run with it in the total absence of any evidence. They are more cautious now.

One thousand percent this. I mean as an average guy (now in my 40s) I have consumed porn at times throughout my life. Any man who says he has never done this is either lying or he is an anomaly. But the difference between the porn of my youth back when the internet was new and you had to wait 5 minutes to download a tiny photograph... to now, when the most degenerate and grotesque material is rapidly becoming mainstream on a lot of sites.... Aside from the topic discussed here, millions of young men are having their natural sexual development perverted as they program their brains with the most unnatural fetishes. It really should be classified as a health emergency.

Violence committed by women is on the rise. But bear in mind they do not differentiate between women and... "🌈women"... in those stats. So they may be misleading.

A lot of the time women seem to think they have a gender forcefield and act atrociously toward men. You could argue that the woman is the bigger coward since when she attacks a man, it's highly likely that she knows he is effectively not allowed to defend himself.
