  1. The fact that the people interned in these camps were from all over Europe, all nationalities and all races isn't something you hear often. I looked up the female German officer they showed (Herte Bothe), who amazingly got away with a 10 year prison sentence, serving only 6, and lived until the year 2000. In an interview she explained that she had no choice but to work at the camp, otherwise she herself would have become an inmate of it.
