  41. I mean sure it's unfair that the women's game just isn't as popular as the men's, but that's life. Sport boils down to entertainment from the spectator's point of view and, as with any other entertainment media, salary is entirely dependent on popularity - again, that's life. If nobody is watching women's soccer then it's not making any money... And yes, they will say "look at the viewing figures for the World Cup final". Wherein the women's final in 2019 got more views in the USA than the men's did in 2018 - but again this is a misdirection. Of course the USA national women's team got high ratings when they were playing in (and won) the WORLD CUP FINAL..... Meanwhile the USA men's team didn't even qualify for the tournament and the men's final I believe ended up being France versus Croatia. It's hardly a like for like comparison.
