Wow. Honestly I'd feel more satisfied if that final shooting scene was right at the start and the movie had been 45 seconds long.

@DeadpoolX9 Yeah but almost every sentence out of my 12 year old son's mouth contains skibidi-sonething or other. The rot is real.

Also she is being enabled by a corrupt institution in form of the judge (a man, incidentally). Slay queen.

Yeah I'm on a damn cooking channel and post a question asking what type of sugar is best to use; 1 minute later my comment is deleted. YouTube is deranged.
7
It is contrary to YouTube's business model to give you any control over what you watch.
6
21st century feminism absolutely embodied in a nice 90 minute package lol.

Yeah my boomer dad insists that this has happened before... it's just the latest round of automation blah blah and people will create jobs that don't exist yet. Trouble is, I can't think of any job a human can do that an AI (coupled with robotics) can't eventually replace. Like UEG said, most people don't understand what's happening.

About a year ago I got myself an XBox 360 and that is my main system these days. Even the rarest most sought after games are less than modern AAA prices and the vast majority are costing me between $3 and $10 each. The older generations represent a more fun and relaxed era. I'm taking a break from modern games. The bother of keeping up to date with my GPU or worrying digital stuff will be stolen from me due the DRM issues... The juice is not worth the squeeze any more.

I would HODL as per the normal strategy. Just forget about it and maybe keep half an eye on the market every so often. It will boom again. I can't remember what caused it but there was a big scandal and a crash in 2018. People were saying the exact same things. I'd say keep your crypto if you have a modest amount invested like me (about enough for a pleasant vacation somewhere). If you have your life savings in crypto then I'd say GTFO ASAP even during the good times. That's never a good idea.
3
I haven't played that game. How do they keep the AI from just taking over the whole web?
3
Oh we have ALL the power. If we would only reach out our hands collectively and take it.
2
I suspect mind you that this could be easily abused and used to unfairly attack legit channels.
2
Wonderful. I can't wait to have a relationship with some corporate spyware.
2
@johntowers1213 Normally I wouldn't be "that guy". I don't usually point it out because I'm sympathetic that people have all kinds legitimate reasons for bad spelling... second language, dyslexia, low IQ... But when you're making it your raison d'être to poke snooty comments about others' debating skills, you'd better first make sure the ground under your own feet is rock solid.
2
I'm pretty sure YouTube just automatically deletes any URL posted by a real account. It does for me anyway.

I've worried about this for a while now. It seems unavoidable that the internet will be completely overrun with fake/scam/trash-grifting content. The internet might become entirely unusable for anything other than pickling kids' brains. We rely so much on the net for everything now and in the near future I just think all of it will become unusable as nothing at all online can be trusted. Not the news, not your favourite creator, not the girl you're talking to on a matching site, not your bank account, not that phone call your child got from "you" telling them to meet you somewhere. We may out of necessity need to go back to old fashioned real-world ways of getting stuff done.
2
This is weird I have literally never seen that one.
2
AutoGPT feels like it could be the virtual paper clip replicator. Turning every byte of online data into regurgitated spam.
2
I'm sure there's some clause buried in the agreement that all creators agreed to when they made their account so they haven't got a leg to stand on legally.
2
Imagine social contagions and online cults entirely generated by AI with millions of followers. If there's anything the internet has taught us, it's that humanity is basically an army of drones ready to be weaponized by anyone or anything with the means to do so.
2
Why are we all saying crypto is dead? Crypto will exist until WW3 takes the internet down. This is just a drama over an exchange. It's like saying carrots are dead because my local grocery store closed down.
2
@nerychristian My understanding is that AIs have been doing this for many years. What I fear most is an internet in which absolutely nothing can be trusted, which is 99.99% AI generated spam. The scary thing is that a significant portion of humanity won't care. I can only see insanity resulting as AI takes the kind of social and cultural manipulation that already happens online and multiplies it exponentially.

If you say anything that might help Donald Trump get re-elected you get your comments or your channel nuked from orbit.
1
Yeah. An anti hero is a protagonist that does some bad things but for reasons that I can understand if I was in the same situation. An obvious one who comes to mind is James Bond - or Kaneda from the Akira stories. This woman is utterly unrelatable (from a man's point of view) as she appears to me to be nothing but a malevolent parasite in the world.
1
How will you brainwash the next generation into thinking the Romans were mostly black unless you censor history channels?
1
Well since an AI is not conscious, it has no concept of the passage of time. 2 nanoseconds or 2000 years are exactly the same.
1
I predict a mass movement of modern day luddites, who reject the online world for this reason. The internet is going to become basically useless for anyone who isn't insane.
1
What were they thinking? They were thinking: "Most gamers are stupid, impulsive morons and we're going to make $millions". And they are right. I tire of impotently lambasting crooked, grasping publishers and feel we should be pointing fingers instead at the idiots who do pay the money and, in doing so, feed these parasites.
1
CP doesn't help Donald Trump get re-elected, so YouTube don't mind it.
1
Everything is transpiring as I have foreseen. The internet will, at some point in the not too distant future, become unusable. Nothing online will be real and nothing will be trustworthy or secure. We will have to revert to old fashioned offline and local methods of living our lives.
1
Well this is Google's stealth censorship. Once upon a time those 100,000 results would be as many unique pages, but now Google curates a small selection of sources it seems acceptable and repeats them thousands of times.
1
I did a lot of work to try and get rid of Youtube ads. I still get them, but now they are all Dutch, which I find a lot less annoying and offensive than the American ones, so I'm content.
1
I loved the internet in those days.
1
What we currently call "really egregious" will be standard industry practice 2 years from now.
1
It's been my expectation for a while now that the internet will be rendered useless by AI turning 99.999% of it into auto generated algorithmic crap. Everything you see will be fake. We need a new internet that is entirely free of AI, perhaps some kind of Blockchain tech but I'm not the expert in that field.
1
@johntowers1213 Oh John... They're... There... Their... Run your post through a spellcheck AI before you post your witty and erudite critiques of others' opinions and more people may take you seriously, dear boy.
1
It's a perfect digitisation of "democracy". You know what you want, they know what you want because you tell them, but they aggressively curate the options available to you.
1
It sometimes feels like YouTube is actively censoring comments that look as though they were posted by a human.
1
It's a viable business decision if you have people on your staff who know what they are talking about. YOU... UEG, may find it trivial to put a guide together in a couple of hours because you know your shit. That's because you're an expert gamer. Kotaku and similar organisations seem to be manned by cultural and political activists, not gamers.
1
Well.... Spoiler At the end, Peter Dinklage proposes that the two of them go into business together, so he might have been considering this all along.
1
Trans lives matter. Who are you calling a bot? Diversity is our strength.
1
People like you and I don't hang off every new release on Netflix like it's a cultural touchstone. I'm guessing you don't spend a lot of time on Twitter either.
1
The variable in a lot of cases is having idiots in charge.
1
I'd like to think this will break the internet as it becomes effectively useless for telling you what's real. But then I realise there are millions, if not billions, of people who just won't care.
1
@treasurehunter3369 You're right. The protagonist is the character through whose experience we primarily see the story. It's unrelated to hero/villain except for the fact that overwhelmingly the protagonist is more often portrayed as a hero. He or she in fact can just as easily be the most loathsome social excrement, as in this movie.
1
@scottrussell360 I think I made clear that advice to HODL only applies if you have invested a modest amount as I have. I have crypto for fun, not as a serious investment.
1
@scottrussell360 Not if there's a good chance that in the long run it will go up significantly. As is the pattern since it's creation.
1
@RemusKingOfRome We in fact voted against it. Many times the world over. Not that voting makes any difference.
1
@NotALiberalSoSkipYourScript Hate to break it to you comrade, but without profit it's kind of hard to motivate those with the means to do so to make anything in large quantity.
1
The reason for the policy you describe is because modern food production is SO well developed that we normally grow much more than we need to feed the world. But hey... when you shut down the economy and confine the workforce to their homes.... go figure. And hey... if you then set the world's largest grain producers in a war against each other.... go figure. This is in fact happening because of the god damned idiot warmongering, authoritarian nanny-state lockdown enforcing bastard elites who dare to call themselves our "leaders". Where is Madame Guillotine when you need her?
