  2.  @jasminecole8596  Well I'm afraid that evolution hasn't caught up to 23rd century society yet. Nature requires that a woman be capable of carrying, birthing and raising a healthy child and it requires that a man be capable of protecting and providing resources for her and her child. As such, the innate attraction between men and women reflect these things, which are selective pressures. If men had not selected young, fertile women, or women had not selected strong, competent men, our species would have gone extinct before it even started. This is not a moral judgement. It's a million years of evolution. Of course we have a complex social structure and it's for good reason we have standards that we adhere to around the age issue (the age of which differs between cultures I might add).
