  1. That was a reality check when I realised it. Ostensibly captcha's job is to verify you are a human and not a "bot", but it's obvious that a happy side effect is all that human input data is building the AI's image recognition.

  4. I know we can't stop it. We can't control it. AI will utterly transform our world, possibly dawning a new golden age. But I can't shake the feeling that the whole idea is damned near blasphemy.

Now, I'm just some loser shlub gaming in my basement and it's hard to imagine that military strategists in the Chinese government aren't at least as smart as me.
