  1. Exactly my point. We have 3 kids. The question of money never came into it even though we are a modest income family. It wasn't a matter of economics, it was an existential imperative.

  2. As the man said, after a generation or two their birth rate is the same as the natives. This isn't our problem. The shorter term issues of importing literally millions of people are more pressing IMO.

  5. Congratulations. Nothing matters as much as your child when you have him/her. And nothing matter as much as the child you want when you are trying to have one.

  6. Well I suppose the solution is a collapsing birth rate and society along with it, then the ensuing breakdown of infrastructure that leads to poor healthcare and higher child mortality and we begin the cycle of regrowth.

  7. When you are old, you will not regret the child(ren) you had, no matter what hardship you faced bringing them up. Just do it. Or it will be too late and you won't have a second chance at the very reason we are put on the earth. If you have to work your fingers to their bloody bones, your child will make every moment of it it worthwhile.

  8.  @SquarishLink  That a very bleak outlook. Is this something to do with your location? Do you have a disability? Do you have a social group at all? I consider myself a man of modest physical looks, status and income and I have found myself married with children after courting several good women some years ago. None of the reasons you give in your last sentence are sufficient to hold back most men, despite what some mgtow (is that still even relevant) communities might tell you.

  10.  @rebeccaconlon9743  Agreed. Both sides are at fault. It was men who bestowed this power and freedom upon women when clearly they were not created to handle it responsibly. Therefore I lay blame on my fellow man. As I alluded to previously, it is men who by and large possess the agency.

  12. I imagine the ultimate result of this is the collapse of society as we know it. Which will return us closer to more natural laws... things like child mortality once we cannot rely on modern medicine to the same extent... And as such having more kids may be a necessity.
