  3. Yeah. My internet is through mobile because I live in a rural area. It's irritating enough to have patchy bandwidth but it's infuriating when the thing that's clogging my data is an advert for some shite that I don't care about.

  5. Such a shame. If he'd just rolled with it and embraced his villain persona, maybe admitted his fraud and given props to the guys above him, I am sure he'd be well loved now. He's a piece of gaming history for good or ill and the community would be very forgiving. I do think the documentary did a dirty on him, but really he's proving nobody wrong with these pathetic lawsuits.

  6. Problem is with a smart TV or console you have less options. I have every way till Sunday to ignore, minimise, mute, refresh or tab away from adverts on my PC.

  11. I'm not sure I could even do that. I strive to never even be aware of what the product or brand is. If it's unskippable, I refresh the page repeatedly until I get the 5 seconds countdown. I don't care if that even takes longer than watching the ads, I do not consent to my eyeballs being violated by them. I watch, and always will watch, on a PC only of course.

  13. How do the advertiser's not know this? We are all numb to ads now... It's like an automatic reaction to just zone out and ignore it. Are Google going to collaborate with Microsoft to stop us alt-tabbing away while their tripe ads play in the background? It would not surprise me. As for mental notes... I never do that because I NEVER allow my eyes to settle on an advert, not even for a second.

  14. I watch YT on a browser on my phone which blocks ads by default. I never had the warnings and it's still working so far.

  28. I have my doubts. I think they may find a way to prevent him buying it and to hell with the consequences. Haven't a bunch of investors got together and now become the largest shareholders? The point is there are very powerful people who don't want to lose control over Twitter - and it's not about it's financial value. It's because many actors rely on Twitter as a political tool that can literally swing elections.
