  2. Yeah. My internet is through mobile because I live in a rural area. It's irritating enough to have patchy bandwidth but it's infuriating when the thing that's clogging my data is an advert for some shite that I don't care about.

  3. Problem is with a smart TV or console you have less options. I have every way till Sunday to ignore, minimise, mute, refresh or tab away from adverts on my PC.

  5. I'm not sure I could even do that. I strive to never even be aware of what the product or brand is. If it's unskippable, I refresh the page repeatedly until I get the 5 seconds countdown. I don't care if that even takes longer than watching the ads, I do not consent to my eyeballs being violated by them. I watch, and always will watch, on a PC only of course.

  7. How do the advertiser's not know this? We are all numb to ads now... It's like an automatic reaction to just zone out and ignore it. Are Google going to collaborate with Microsoft to stop us alt-tabbing away while their tripe ads play in the background? It would not surprise me. As for mental notes... I never do that because I NEVER allow my eyes to settle on an advert, not even for a second.

  8. I watch YT on a browser on my phone which blocks ads by default. I never had the warnings and it's still working so far.

  13. It's beyond me how ads on YouTube are even worth their time. Who buys anything off the back of them? If I'm forced to play ads, I make a POINT of not watching them and I do everything I can you not know what the product is.

  15. I also use the Opera app and mine works great. However I am using an old phone from a certain Chinese brand who use their own release of Android. At this point I'm not sure I trust the CCP to spy on me any less than Google.
