This is the nature of relationships with women. If a woman stays with you, what that means is she can't find a better option. This is as close as women ever come to actual love. Their brains don't work the same way that men's do.

The golden rule is to remember this: Women do not and can not love in the same way as men. Women love pragmatically because they evolved to need to rely on a man for survival and, more importantly, the survival of her children. Men, on the other, hand evolved to fight, hunt, explore and make self-sacrifice in service of their woman and children, therefore men tend to love romantically and idealistically. In short - your girlfriend loves the kids she hasn't even had yet more than she loves you - and with good reason. Feminists will fight this tooth and nail but a million years of evolution does not go away in a few decades.

@John28_ Yes you got the idea. Look back to evolution. Women evolved to need a man for literal survival and for her children. So of course a woman's "love" is entirely dependent on whether you can support her. Relationships where the woman is the main earner (usually) fall apart because women can't " love" or even respect a man in the same way if he is the dependent party. Women are hardwired to be attracted to men who are higher up the social/economic scale than them. Whereas we guys just want our women young and fertile :) A woman will always love the children she hasn't even had yet more than she loves you.
