Failed institutions you speak about like monarchy and religion, that have built our civilization to what we now enjoy over thousands of years. Interesting to observe that with the decline of the above institutions, we have seen both fascism and communism reap hundreds of millions of human lives in the last century. God is dead and we have his blood on our hands (I paraphrase the famous line).

  7. I make a concerted effort to collect and read books. I feel great satisfaction to know I have rejected social media and mainstream TV for a medium that has countless benefits to mental health, sleep hygiene and general intelligence. Classic philosophy and the kind of content that in years to come will have been removed from print in the major publishers. I particularly like hardback editions that often are a piece of art on your shelf whether or not you get around to reading them.
