In ancient history books,we called Rome :大秦 (Great Qin),because at first we consider Rome as the other China(we at first regard them a part of Qin Danastys escapers who run to the west )and in history books we call Arab Empire as 大食(according to sound of "Tajik" ,the Arab Empires prounancation in Farsi)At the time of Umayyad Caliphate because their flag is white, we call them“白衣大食”(white clothes Arab Empire)。and at Apos Dynasty，their flags color is black,we call they “黑衣大食”
