  1. $30+ trillion debt $4 trillion yearly revenue $600+ billion in interest on debt At 1% fed funds rate. 15% of government revenue services debt. CANNOT AFFORD TO RAISE RATES. AT 5% INTEREST. 40%+ of government revenue goes towards servicing debt. Paying off the credit card. Country maxed out the card and now can't afford higher rates. Only thing we can afford is inflation.
