@frostyblade8842 I disagree I don’t think you should have any credibility based on your degrees. That’s literally considered a logical fallacy objectively. Not that you were doing this but it’s called the argument of authority. If all I know is that somebody has a degree and a masters or doctoral degree I would say he probably knows a lot. But I would quickly change my mind not give a degree any authority if they don’t know what they’re talking about.

Kabuki Kitsune yea there are economists that are communist. It’s crazy how long someone can be educated in a field and still less of an expert on the topic than a homeless person in India.

@thatchtownsend1563 that’s just a criticism of colleges. They hire people who know nothing about topics to teach students. That’s kind of the strategy though. Obviously the comment is just meant to be insulting. By a technical definition he would be a historian but he’s a very poor historian he’s a ideology in tribal thinking completely skew his view of history. You are a musician if you play an instrument but it doesn’t mean you’re in a good an instrument.

@als3022 yeah it’s weird people think human nature confirmation biases and pre-existing World views just go away when people go to school for a long time in a field. If anything it’s amplified because you learn how to manipulate facts to back up your worldview. If anything I can get better at doing that the longer you study a field.

@FriesAreNice because you have to be an expert at history to be considered a historian. Not a quack. Or just a student of history which if you watch the history channel you by definition are.
