Not instead of healthcare. Assisted suicide is an option for terminally ill patients. It's actually more ethical than the alternative when approached correctly. The NHS is dramatically underfunded, and Brexit didn't help matters, worsening the staff shortages. We spend less than France, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Germany, Austria and Netherlands. Even with all of that, we are somewhere in the top 10 to 15 for healthcare globally. The alternative would be the US system, which is both dramatically more expensive, and covers far less. Medical debt is the leading cause of bankruptcy. Coverage costs hundreds per month, and that's before you even use your insurance. If you use your insurance your deductible before you get any coverage can be hundreds or even thousands. The truth is that while people whine about the NHS, the alternative is a total disaster.

@redluck3048 They aren't denying healthcare. Assisted suicide is for the terminally ill, and is arguably more ethical. The US provides medical breakthroughs due to profits. Those breakthroughs often get massive grants from the governemnt, and are restricted from portions of their own populous due to financial constraints. They are literally making money off people's pain and suffering. Yes, it would work. The UK has birthright citizenship. People pay more now than under a comparable nationalised system.

@redluck3048 Again, the UK has birthright citizenship. The requirement of 1 parent being a citizen only applies to children born outside the UK.

@redluck3048 You’re automatically a British citizen if, when you were born, one of your parents was a British citizen or settled in the UK. 99% of British settlement applications are accepted.

@redluck3048 Except you were specifically referencing immigrants. What's funny is you think the addition of less than 1% of the population would break the system. Especially as migrants traditionally pay far more into the system than they receive in any sort of benefit. Sweden btw has a population of just over 10 million, around one thirtieth of the US. From 2011 to 2015 they accepted an increasing number of asylum seekers, climaxing with 162K in a single year, the equivalent of the US accepting over 5 million asylum seekers. Their healthcare system is 4th in the world.

They vote on whether or not to file, how to file, and share in the decisions and consequences. "As market price of businesses now valued differently, wouldn't a new employees/owners of those end up with different Equity anyway? Where is an Equality & "an equal democratic power" in that system? " No. You have a share in the business. That share would be unchanged. "Actually, this experiment have already been done in Russia/Soviet Union."
