  7.  @keepinghealthy3332  It's really not. We have stats on how many breakthrough cases there are. In the US for example breakthrough covid deaths only reached just over 2,000 last week. Unvaccinated covid deaths however hit that every 2 days right now. 2 days compared to 8 months is quite the gap. This year alone there have been 262,368 recorded covid deaths. Of those less than 1% were fully vaccinated.

  8. ​ @keepinghealthy3332  That's not how they count covid stats in the vast majority of states and countries, as has been explained to you before. Your anecdotal example of nobody dying from covid is not evidence of anything other than your own experience. Deaths increased by over 500K last year. After extensive testing with both those drugs they found that neither made any difference. They have been tested in the US, Australia, India and numerous other countries and areas within those countries. The end result was that it doesn't help. They even invented an entire protocol that doesn't include those drugs because they are not as effective. Not sure why you're bringing Cuomo into this, he's not even governor any more. They ran out of beds and he made a decision to utilise empty beds in senior care homes. The end result was obviously a disaster, but predicting that when we knew so little is hindsight. These days New York is actually performing very while, while Florida is circling the drain at 150K infections per week, and deaths increasing daily. We hit over 1,700 deaths last week, a new record.

  9. @Sam Vimes It ma have other uses but after extensive testing from numerous medical institutions it has not been shown to made any improvement to patient survivability when they have covid.

"On average nearly 1,600 people nationwide are still dying of the virus each day, that's up 730% since mid-July. Mid-July was just before the surge. This video is talking about a decrease from last week to this week.

There is also funding for unemployment, vaccine rollout, child tax credits, earned income tax credits, schools reopening, childcare assistance, transportation infrastructure, pensions, senior nutrition programs, small business grants, small business loans, virus testing and tracing, rental assistance, homeless funding, veteran assistance and SNAP, as well as some other domestic decisions. Not sure why you are so against helping the American people.

Not that it really matters as the stimulus bill includes none of that. It only contains: The $1,400 stimulus payments Increasing unemployment payments Rental assistance and eviction moratorium Increases to food stamps and investment in food security and nutrition assistance Increases to childcare funding Tax credit increases Health insurance subsidies Restoration of emergency paid leave Small business grants Frontline worker and school funding in all states Vaccine and testing support $15 minimum wage They're literally just waiting on Republicans at this point.

Joe Biden was asked if he would reverse the Trump tax cuts using executive orders. Your response leaves out a key word: "Things you can't do by executive order unless you're a dictator." The word "things" changes the meaning. Biden was drawing a clear line between the branches of government. The Executive Branch has no power of taxes, and therefore they need Congress to change tax rates, reversing Trump's tax cuts. This says nothing about his stance on executive orders as a whole.

Keystone XL jobs were not permanent. The pipeline itself was both illegal and a waste, given the US currently exports oil. They were throwing billions down the drain when they could just train and employ people for far less in a different sector. It would be far more beneficial to create energy sector jobs in sustainable power methods. You don't know what a dictator is.

  41. The bill included unemployment and food stamps. They weren't allowed to add minimum wage to this bill because it 1. goes against the senate parliamentarian and 2. it would be voted down by at least one Democrat.

They all think the bill is pork, and even quote the "only 9% of this bill goes to covid" nonsense, when that number is in reference to December omnibus bill, and only refers to stimulus checks, not SNAP, unemployment or anything else. Misinformation is just a way of life for some of these people.

The White House also needs to vaccinate and the rumours about them not needing to were false, they always fell under the first mandate. Congressional staff get a pass because this is an executive order and congress make their own rules. "I also want to know why Israel who has the highest vaccination rate in the world also has the highest infection and death rate" They don't. Both the infection and death rates are far worse in Florida for starters. If you go to the worldometer and check the deaths in the last 7 days/1M pop you will see that the US is actually higher than Israel, who are all the way down at 61. "while next door in Palestine they haven’t had the vaccine and have no problem? " Palestine is actually at 45 on that chart I mentioned, making their death rate in the last week higher than Israel, and by around 31% as well.

Covid hospitalisations also peaked in mid January, they started to go down around the time Biden took office. The trend is downwards. I know your side doesn't like looking at trends and instead likes to misconstrued numbers, but the trend is clear, we are getting better.

  49.  @FathomlessJoy  The travel ban only extended to China and did little to actually stop the virus, considering it had already spread to dozens of countries. They would have had a much easier time quarantining and screening people at the border rather than just banning everyone, which is what they do now btw. Trump didn't even recommend wearing masks for months into the pandemic, asked if people should be injecting bleach, said the infection numbers were going down, said the virus would just disappear in the summer and all sorts of other crap. Moreover, the travel ban was supported by Biden and Biden called Trump xenophobic before the China travel ban was imposed.
