  6.  x e  The US has a higher percentage of criminals in prison than any other country on the planet. The issue is not criminals on the streets, it's poverty and guns. California legislation has absolutely nothing to do with shootings in the rest of the country, especially when those being released are non-violent offenders. Putting non-violent offenders back into society rather than letting them rot in prison where they can become more and more entrenched in prison and gang culture is a good thing. Again, California legislation has nothing to do with mass shootings across the rest of the country. Minor thefts are not the cause of mass shootings. You have been drip-fed a racist, fascist nonsense line from a bunch of propagandists and fascists, all because they want to distract from the actual cause of gun violence, which is poverty and guns.

  7.  x e  There are not nearly enough programs. School inequality due to localized property taxes are a major issue. Poverty does indeed produce higher rates of criminality. Your lived experience has no bearing on much wider statistical trends. While individuals may not commit crime, the rate of crime is increased overall.
