There is also funding for unemployment, vaccine rollout, child tax credits, earned income tax credits, schools reopening, childcare assistance, transportation infrastructure, pensions, senior nutrition programs, small business grants, small business loans, virus testing and tracing, rental assistance, homeless funding, veteran assistance and SNAP, as well as some other domestic decisions. Not sure why you are so against helping the American people.

  3. The bill included unemployment and food stamps. They weren't allowed to add minimum wage to this bill because it 1. goes against the senate parliamentarian and 2. it would be voted down by at least one Democrat.

  4.  @user-rv7ed8ce1r  They extended the SNAP benefit increase to June by providing additional funding. The unemployment bonus is $400 and will be extended to August.

  6.  @user-rv7ed8ce1r  Nah, they'll just lie about the contents. The number of people I've seen saying 90% of the money goes to China or some other crap are just too high. They all think the bill is pork, and even quote the "only 9% of this bill goes to covid" nonsense, when that number is in reference to December omnibus bill, and only refers to stimulus checks, not SNAP, unemployment or anything else. Misinformation is just a way of life for some of these people.

  8.  @FathomlessJoy  When did all those people get sick Joe? Do you think they may have contracted the virus under Trump? Do you think the people they got the virus from contracted it under Trump? Covid hospitalisations also peaked in mid January, they started to go down around the time Biden took office. The trend is downwards. I know your side doesn't like looking at trends and instead likes to misconstrued numbers, but the trend is clear, we are getting better.

  9.  @FathomlessJoy  The travel ban only extended to China and did little to actually stop the virus, considering it had already spread to dozens of countries. They would have had a much easier time quarantining and screening people at the border rather than just banning everyone, which is what they do now btw. Trump didn't even recommend wearing masks for months into the pandemic, asked if people should be injecting bleach, said the infection numbers were going down, said the virus would just disappear in the summer and all sorts of other crap. Moreover, the travel ban was supported by Biden and Biden called Trump xenophobic before the China travel ban was imposed.

  13.  Koinonia Theos  Trump was in office during the pandemic for almost a year, and they had an entire 9 month gap with no payments and no checks. Unemployment increases ran out for months. Biden has been in office 6 weeks and we already have more funding coming through, no thanks to the GOP.
