Penguin's 10 Not even close. The UK has been helping Ukraine for years, training their troops and sending weapons.

He does it on purpose. It's a character, a façade, designed to hide his true intentions.

@joshm8661 Your inability to understand that the pandemic has had a global effect and it has nothing to do with the current administration is your own fault.
1
@captrodgers4273 Agreed, but we are finally recovering. The fallout from the previous administration is wearing off.

@metalgearsolidsnake6978 They left because of Boris. They didn't want anything to do with his cabinet.
1
@joshm8661 No it doesn't. The previous administration pumped trillions into the stock market to save it. This admin had nothing to do with that either.

@joshm8661 It was better when the deficit was increasing? No way, really... The pandemic caused a wave of boomer retirements, leaving too many jobs to fill. This means that lower skilled workers get a chance to get hired and learn something more career focused. Companies are refusing to increase pay with the inflation we've seen. Companies that have adapted, like mine, have done just fine, and workers have seen big increases in pay as a result. We'll get better when this covid crash settles down. Trump spent over $9 trillion in 4 years and bailed out the market with a good portion of that. People like to complain about stimulus to individuals, but the stimulus to the stock market was higher than all the individual payments put together.

@joshcummings9750 Will he even be out of prison?
1
@metalgearsolidsnake6978 No, it was Boris. Leaving their positions is a pay cut.

@joshm8661 Clinton left office with a surplus. Bush Jr left office with a $1.4 trillion deficit. Obama brought that down to $665 billion. Trump raised it to $984 billion before the pandemic even started. The deficit is sustainable if GDP keeps up with the total, but Republicans love to cut taxes without cutting spending to win cheap political points.
1
@joshm8661 That's debt, not deficit. Clinton was reversing the the previous administration's problems, as was Obama. They did however manage to lower the deficit.
1
@joshm8661 Well adding to the deficit can be healthy or even necessary in times of economic depression. Think of it like borrowing on a 30 year loan. Technically you're massively in debt, but you get a house out of it. Now imagine a nation doing that constantly all the time. Lowing taxes for the hell of it however is dumb. Hopefully some of the money we're saving on not being at war will help.
1
@joshm8661 Hardly. Ukraine is magnitudes less expensive than Iraq or Afghanistan.
1
@joshm8661 Doesn't make it wrong either. You're just saying "spending is wrong" without evaluating why, or the longterm results of that spending.
