@Create Your Fate Build back better hasn't passed and is planned over 10 years. The investment would actually net the US money if it did pass in the long run. GDP is up. Wages are up. Stocks are up. Employment is up. The economy is moving in the right direction and investment was necessary to get us there.

@Create Your Fate What utter nonsense. Smart investments that improve the nation pay massive dividends. You can even offset the costs with what we spent in Iraq and Afghanistan if you really like. The war on terror was $8 trillion, and we achieved nothing domestically for all of that. But here you are claiming that spending half that, spending less than the military budget, would be untenable. This also ignores that the plan has tax increases for those earning over $400K and businesses that received cuts from the '17 tax cuts, meaning it would be paid for. So your "printing infinite stacks of money" analogy is bollocks. They would be spending taxes.

They were higher in 2011-2014. A global increase in oil prices is also not really the fault of anyone. Demand went up, end of story. "approval ratings are the lowest" His current approval is 42%. Trump spent over 400 of his first 500 days below that number.
