@alexwhit4048 I guess that explains all the excess deaths as well. Oh wait, it doesn't.

@annabellee226 6 months actually. Almost like they figured out when the vaccines wane and acted accordingly. You are so ignorant.

@annabellee226 Shed what?
1
@annabellee226 I have heard the term, and I understand how it works. Vaccinated people don't shed a form of the virus capable of infecting others as it cannot replicate. So I'm not really sure how it's relevant to the discussion.

@annabellee226 That's not shedding, that's just catching it due to the vaccine efficacy and waning. Nothing to do with shedding at all. We're doing boosters for this exact reason. Without the vaccine it would be even worse. Masks and protocols are the main way we stop the spread in hospitals. Stop being a lemming.

@annabellee226 No, 6 months, not 6 days. Even then that's the minimum, I'm pushing 9 months now. The science to back it up is that vaccine efficacy starts to drop significantly at 6 months. Israel has multiple studies finding this, as does the CDC. Yes, vaccinated people are getting it and spreading it, but at a much much lower rate. When fully vaxed at 95% efficacy we only have a 1 in 20 chance of catching and passing on the virus. And it's spelled "ignorant" dear.

@annabellee226 Flu jabs have lower efficacy and wane faster than the new covid ones. Many of the vaccines we receive as children do not hold up for a lifetime. Tetanus for example can be a good one you need again. DTaP requires regular boosts to maintain immunity. Hepatitis B needs a lot of injections before you are immune, 7 minimum, and even then it wears off later in life. Then there are others like Yellow Fever, Rabies and more that barely last at all. The truth is that we don't boost these because we don't really see the need to do so on a regular basis. But sure, tell me how getting regular boosters for a virus that has killed millions and maimed tens of millions is a mad idea.

@susan6507 Not only does the chicken pox vaccine not provide lifelong immunity, with efficacy sitting around 83% on average, it provides zero protection from shingles. Polio vaccines in use are all relatively new, and even after 4 doses it's not knows if it provides lifelong immunity. Older versions were less effective at around 65%. The first measles vax was available for 4 years and still allowed a huge number of breakthrough infections. Outbreaks still happened regularly. The MMR combination was more effective, but even then mumps can break out in highly vaxed communities. Stop talking about things you know nothing about.

@annabellee226 In the US in 2020 covid killed 12 times the number of people who died of flu in 2019. That's with all the measures put in place to protect people. This year is even worse. You are comparing apples to a fist fight. Both might result in dental work, but one it a lot more likely. "you agree it doesnt work, that it dies and needs refilled" If a battery loses charge did it never work, or does it just stop working until it's been recharged? If you car runs out of fuel did it never work, or does it just not work until you get a refill? Something temporarily not working due to some outside resource being needed to maintain it does not mean it never worked at all. "you will never be protected without lining up for it over and over and over and over" Alternatively, you car will never drive without lining up for fuel over and over and over. Your phone will never work without charging it over and over and over. Does that stop you using those things? Does that mean they don't do what they are supposed to? "you cant vax against the head cold" With the new mRNA vaxes you probably can.

@annabellee226 Excess deaths in 2020 far exceeded covid deaths. If anything the true impact was underreported, not over.

@MrMustangMan Google them. This year is worse than last year.

@lorettaortiz112 Which one?

@MrPolandball The first 2 did stop it though. It's a booster due to waning.
