@Dcurc2257 Well sure, because the vaccine was created for Alpha, not Delta. The end result is that, while they have a high vaccination rate, people can still get infected. That being said, Vermont's "all time high in cases" is just over 200 cases a day when averaged over 7 days. With their population that puts it to 346 per million per day. Compare this to some of the less vaccinated states and you'll see the issues. For example:
Florida - peaked at 26,951 infections, adjusted for population they had 1,255 infections per day per million. That's almost 4 times Vermont.
South Carolina - peaked 5,532 - adjusted 1,074
Louisiana - peaked 5,839 - adjusted 1,260
How about weekly death peak per capita, maybe they're better for the various states:
VT - 25.6 (in December, recent peak is only 14.4)
FL - 122.7
SC - 118.3 (in January, recent peak is 83.5)
LA - 98.1 (in April, recent peak is 72.9)
Amazingly Vermont is doing better than any of these places, and is having less deaths than even itself back in December, just as the vaccine was rolling out.
