@Epofapent OANN. Facts are blatantly misrepresented and mostly false. The truth is only about 50 jobs. There are another 11,000 or so that would be out of work, but those are in connection with the construction of the pipeline, not the ongoing maintenance of it. As soon as the pipeline is finished they lose their jobs anyway. The region would see no long-term economic impact. The project threatens the environment in the areas it passes through, including the water supply for 2 Native American communities who were already suing over the construction as it threatened their water supply, subverting previously agreed upon treaties. Oil prices are also about half what they were when the pipeline was originally proposed, and went negative not that long ago due to covid. Finishing it won't even be cost effective in the long term.

@tuppersdad You mean the one that already went to court and lost 59 times?

@mrpickles3454 I never said otherwise. I said the long-term employment benefits of the pipeline only amount to 50 jobs, some of which may be in Canada.
