  8. 1. It's the off-season so it's mostly empty. The locals are nothing like the rich people who spend several months there per year. 2. The locals took them in, fed them, clothed them and even held a church service for them. 3. The Republican governor then helped them get the proper help to be processed by immigration correctly.

  17. I did too, but the asylum process IS legal. They still have to get documents, wait in lines, and attend court dates. They still have to undergo medical exams and pass citizenship tests. They just get help with paying for the process that costs thousands because they are fleeing a conflict zone.
