Comments by "Hobbs" (@hobbso8508) on "Biden to allow 25,000 asylum seekers into the US" video.
@Solid_State_Moisture It's already a joke, I took it last year.

J Kasten They went through the asylum process by waiting at the border. They are legal.
3
@Touches1111 Quiet troll. They were looked into as all evidence is in a trial. They were then rejected for being total bollocks.
2
@Touches1111 You just denied the election results and called someone a bot while pushing literal lies. Pot kettle dipshit.
2
@BonsuBigWhale They are not unvetted or unchecked. They are processing every single one of them before letting them in using a process that will take over a month. They are also asylum seekers fleeing their own countries.
2
@johntrent3911 Asylum seekers are generally more skilled and more educated than other immigrants. They pay more into the economy than they take out by working, on average, more skilled jobs and starting more businesses. So in reality they are paying into your social security, not you into theirs.
2
J Kasten This is at legal ports of entry.
2
J Kasten Even if that were true, this is nothing to do with Biden allowing asylum seekers entry to the US at legal ports of entry.
2
Asylum seekers are a net positive for the economy. They put more money into social services than they take out, by both creating businesses and filling higher skilled positions. So they do make money, so it does make sense.
2
He's not opening the borders. He's letting in asylum seekers which are being vetted and processed over the next month.
2
@JamesBrown-ws8ht Asylum seekers by and large put far more into the economy than they take out. They are a net positive for the economy through both creation of small businesses and working higher skill jobs.
2
Steve Austin and they didn't. Handy that.

@dustinbrandon5310 So he offers people knowledge and understanding rather than creating simpletons and only allowing them freedoms if they remain ignorant of the world? Sounds about right.
1
@BonsuBigWhale The law you are referring to is a European Union law under the Dublin Regulation. Canada has also used this law. The US has no such law.
1
@BonsuBigWhale Do you mean The 1951 Refugee Convention and its 1967 Protocol? Asylum shopping is not mentioned in this document.
1
@unamcgurry6875 The people being let in are asylum seekers. They are being tested and processed at 3 different border crossings over the course of over a month. I would be shocked if in that process they are not being tested for covid. This has nothing to do with European immigration policy, which costs thousands of dollars and doesn't allow those seeking asylum to get the help they need.
1
@johntrent3911 You see a problem with giving a path to citizenship for asylum seekers?
1
@johntrent3911 If they are escaping their country to seek asylum then they are not going to leave the place earning them money. They are required to pay taxes.
1
Letting in asylum seekers will not get him impeached. This process has existed for generations and is perfectly legal.
1
@FlaThunderstorm These asylum seekers are also arriving legally. They are being processed by border patrol over the next month through a perfectly legal process.
1
Because he wants to let in asylum seekers that are historically a net positive for the US economy, paying more into social programs than they take out? How dare Biden.....make us more money. That bastard.
1
@Solid_State_Moisture Nah "who is president" "who is vice president" "what is the supreme law of the land" There are a bunch of harder questions but they rarely ask them, unless the examiner doesn't like you for some reason.
1
@Solid_State_Moisture Nah. The hard parts are waiting 5 years to get the test and paying about $4K to get approval. They could also just decide to ask harder questions. It's very up to them.
1
@dubyuellem7534 They get about $7K a year and over a 10 year period are a net positive for the economy, specifically social programs they pay into.
1
J Kasten They aren't letting them in en masse. They are letting them in slowly, processing around 300 people a day at 2 crossings, and less than that at a 3rd crossing. It will take at least a month to get through everyone based on those numbers alone.

@JamesBrown-ws8ht "Ppl have been claiming asylum for decades in America and the country hasnt improved" Statistics say differently. Asylum seekers are both job creators and skilled workers. "pay minimum wage and biden wants to raise it to 15 dollars that will put more ppl out of work because small businesses cant afford it' Or they can raise prices to compensate for the changing expenditure. I mean seriously, if you literally cannot survive without paying your own workers a living wage then why are you even in business?
1
@JamesBrown-ws8ht Because improving the economy is not the same as fixing every problem in the US at the same time.
1
@JamesBrown-ws8ht Increases to minimum wage do not cause inflation in line with that increase. The higher your wages before the increase in wage, the more diminishing your returns on the increase. The vast majority of business expenses for employers paying minimum wage are for raw materials and rent, not staffing. McDonalds franchises for example can increase prices by as little as 4% to pay for the wage increases. So 4% inflation for more than doubling the earnings of those at the bottom seems like a good tradeoff to me.

@tattoodmomma28 No, he means literally. Republicans are literally domestic terrorists who support actual terrorism.
