Doesn't matter. Trump's zero tolerance policy was the cause of the children being locked up. Obama could have built 20 new prisons, but if Trump made jaywalking a felony he would still be to blame for filling those prisons. Trump's policy was so bad they decided to detain kids by renting out entire floors of hotels for kids to stay on while they guarded exists. They then expelled them as soon as they could, ignoring standard policy on minors who cross the border seeking asylum: "Federal anti-trafficking laws and a two-decade-old court settlement that governs the treatment of migrant children require that most kids be sent to the shelters for eventual placement with family sponsors. But President Donald Trump’s administration is now immediately expelling people seeking asylum in the U.S., relying on a public health declaration to set aside those rules."

@X-Prime123 The side not supported by Nazis? Okay dude.
5
@cindysomerville4149 Stick to Tucker Carlson. Always nice to watch someone who has zero obligation to tell the truth I'm sure.
4
@tylerstreet8614 I guess all those mandatory separations were just a coincidence then.....
3
@tylerstreet8614 Oh dear, looks like the dementia is kicking in, you've forgotten the last 4 years already. While you're at it explain why thousands of families were separated at the border. Oh, and look up the definition of "zero tolerance" while you're at it. Damn boomers and their short-term memory loss.
3
@albertorkenbjorken I did I was aiming at Cindy there. No worries, I'm sure she'll reply once she's done downloading the latest propaganda from Fox straight into her brain.
3
@X-Prime123 It's in the middle.
3
@X-Prime123 The media framed the shot, not the government. Regardless he looks badass so not sure why you're whining.
3
@floridagirl9064 You're scared of the color red. Get a grip.

@paulmeier6585 Jon Stewart got Carlson fired from CNN. He's still angry about it.

@tylerstreet8614 What narrative? That the Trump administration family separation policy enacted as a "zero tolerance" approach intended to deter illegal immigration and to encourage tougher legislation. It was officially adopted across the entire US–Mexico border from April 2018 until June 2018 and later investigations found that the practice of family separations had begun a year prior to the public announcement. This resulted in the government reporting in January 2020 that the official government number of children separated from their parents or guardians under the policy was 4,368. Also in January, the American Civil Liberties Union reported that more than 1,100 families had been separated since June 2018, the date that the administration said they would no longer separate children from their parents. So Trump officially enacted this policy, was using this policy for months before they announced it, officially ended the policy but kept doing it anyway, and separated thousands of families in the process. Do you even know what a narrative is? That's not a narrative, that's facts. Your claim that there were no mandatory separations is a joke. Families were separated. Either you support that decision or you don't. Claiming it never happened makes you look demented.

@tylerstreet8614 April 2018. You should really read my comment.
2
samford hikes You know they send the parents back right? They are forcefully separated and the children are detained while the parents are sent back.
2
@X-Prime123 He has blue either side if you actually watched the whole speech.
2
No, he's pointing out that there is a very real split in the Republican party, with some Republicans staying old-school and pushing to take away funding for healthcare and children's programs, while the new MAGA Republicans want to whine about losing elections and are trying to defund the FBI. These 2 groups are not the same. Just look at the election in Alaska to see the split in action.
2
How so?

Old wounds opening up with the Pact Act.
1
Pretty sure "We the People" doesn't include traitors.
1
It's blue either side of the red, but this particular camera angle didn't show it.
1
Correct. To be inclusive you have to exclude those that are exclusionary.
1
@dustin3838 If you're supported by Nazis you're on the wrong side.
1
You mean the guy that left the KKK decades before he even met Biden and openly admitted his faults, then dedicated himself to reversing the evil he saw while he was a local chapter leader? That Robert Byrd?
1
No, they pointed out that the Russian government moved to influence the election with a propaganda campaign that helped Trump win. Hillary conceded the same day. Trump on the other hand never conceded, whined for months, and caused a riot, and even straight up sedition on Capitol Hill. They went through dozens of court cases, and he's even under investigation in Georgia for trying to get them to change the vote count. These 2 things are not the same.
1
Like what?
1
Always funny when MAGA, the group that has literally Nazi groups supporting them, compare themselves to the Jews in 30s Germany.
1
@jessepeterson3271 Not really no, because those KKK founders are all dead, and their kids support the Republicans now. 1965 was a hell of a year after all.
1
@jessepeterson3271 Approval ratings are up. Economy is a global issue. But nice deflection away from the Nazis supporting Republicans.
1
@jessepeterson3271 You're all over the place aren't you. Nazi vote Republican. The KKK endorse Republicans. The party didn't create the KKK, people did, and those people vote Republican. But sure, start defending tax dodgers now. Nice of you to support criminals in all their forms.
1
@jessepeterson3271 These days that's par for the course. People like having someone to blame.
1
@jessepeterson3271 Because his followers are traitors who continue to cause trouble?
1
@jessepeterson3271 "the people" lol MAGA are a bunch of traitors who constantly try to overturn democracy.
1
@tylerstreet8614 Enforcement changed. Trump chose to enforce it. You're an idiot.
1
@tylerstreet8614 I'm sorry you don't understand how laws are enforced and how policy can change based on the enforcement of those laws.
1
samford hikes lol, no I'm not. That was the policy.
1
@albertorkenbjorken That's not true at all. International confidence in the US increased 58 points when Biden took office, and favorability increased 28 points. The truth is, the US is far more right-wing than any of its allies, and the result is most countries favoring Democrats over Republicans. Although calling Biden left-wing would be a stretch by most metrics.
1
@Hellothere-im3gd Someone didn't watch it.
1
By the people who voted for him. Yes, that's how it works.
1
Someone didn't listen to the speech. Did the red light trigger you?
1
@joan8862 No, the ones with literally swastikas voting Republican are the Nazis.
1
@redacted8008 Not agreeing that fascism is bad? Sounds fine to me.
1
@redacted8008 Never said they did it on purpose, it's just the way the shot ends up being framed. That being said, the only threat to democracy is the fascists he is talking about.
1
@redacted8008 Playing "no you" is sad and pathetic. One side tried to overthrow the election, the other is calling that out. Pick one.
1
@carlthelongshoreman1979 Because they try to overturn elections and defund social programs so they can increase the deficit, giving tax breaks to the ultra-rich.
1
@carlthelongshoreman1979 Sure, like all those court cases and lack of concession speeches....oh wait no, that was the MAGA Republicans.
1
@carlthelongshoreman1979 "Heavily abused" you'll believe anything won't you.
1
@carlthelongshoreman1979 Source? Food stamp abuse is like 1% from everything I can find. Also, is abuse a reason to remove food from the mouths of those who actually need it?
1
Won't work without ranked choice voting.
1
"half" Cope
1
You have no idea what Marxism is do you.
1
Funny, because he's talking about MAGA, the group supported by literal Nazis.
