An argument from authority is valid when the authority is a valid authority on the subject at hand, which they are. Why wouldn't I take the word of literally thousands upon thousands of experts? "And also because there is a chance, despite your belief, that Fauci is lying." There isn't. The scientific community would have responded. "Would Fauci be criticized by them? Has he been regarding his emails?" Are you actually joking. What is it with you lot and emails? Have you actually read the emails in context and reviewed the positions? Most of them are just propositioning a counter argument to drive debate. I mean, how can you be this simple?

If they approve a vaccine and it is later found to cause issues then the fault lies with the FDA. They even have vaccine injury compensation programs for this exact reason.

  13.  @zay7958  My real issue is I have family members who have actual health issues like diabetes and damaged organs, who are refusing the vaccine because of misinformation from people like this. Most people think they're healthier than they are. Take obesity for example, that's like 30% of the country. Someone 5ft 1 would only have to be 160lbs to hit that threshold, and now people like Mike here are calling it a preexisting condition and implying that those 100 million or so people don't have deaths that "count" as that would never happen to them, so oh well.

The idea that those unvaccinated by choice are putting the lives of those who are unable to vaccinate due to health conditions should be concerning for everyone, but instead you are perfectly content to force those at the most risk to stay inside for fear of morons life you killing them by breathing in their direction. "Go out, get weird" Die or suffer severe long-term health conditions that never allow you to live the way you used to.

  27. @WeThePeople 707 Flu vaccines are a cocktail of the 5 most frequent strains currently in circulation. Influenza is however caught by so many people each year as has been around so long that we have as many as 60 strains. Vaccinating against it permanently isn't really possible without some global efforts. We've had a hard enough time getting rid of polio in some countries, never mind 60 types of flu.

  30. @WeThePeople 707 The vaccines give people immunity far longer than catching covid. Covid antibodies from catching it can last as little as 3 months. Releasing a vaccine early to save lives is not wrong or unethical, in fact it's the exact opposite of that. The virus occurred naturally.

Flu deaths are down due covid measures making the spread of disease less frequent. They are not mislabeling anything. Covid deaths are recorded using covid tests.

The lack of flu infections if proof that their guidelines work, nothing magical about it. Magic is just a word people use when they can't explain something. Also, the most flu deaths we see in a year hit around 60K. Covid is 10 times that. Brady Vaughn was a pharma representative for Merc. She had no part in the research or batch testing of any of the drugs they produced. I'm not denying her "credible research" because she hasn't done any.

  37.  @glx333  I get my information from my friends who are doctors, researchers and post-grads at a major US hospital, as well as a couple of them that actually caught covid and were tested for antibodies weekly to see when they could start getting the vaccine. The difference is usually the severity of the reaction, with asymptomatic people losing their antibodies much faster. Your 9 month number comes from vaccinated people, not infected people. My friends don't go out because they are healthcare professionals and fully understand the risks.

  41. @WeThePeople 707 Because the vaccine is 94% effective, meaning there is still a 6% chance you can catch covid when vaccinated. Infections per day are dropping sharply as more and more get vaccinated. US infections are down as low as they were last May, lower than the initial surge in April.

From everything I've seen the mRNA vaccines don't cause clots, and even the vaccines that do cause clots the clots are usually non-fatal. Only a single death has been reported from the hundred million or so doses of AstraZeneca. In fact, all the vaccines put together don't come anywhere close to a single day of covid deaths. Most of the claims that the vaccines are causing a lot of deaths are simple wrong. They look at terminally ill people who got vaccinated then died from their terminal illness. The fact that they reviewed J&J after non-lethal blood clots should tell you how seriously they take possible side effects like this and how quickly they suspend and remove vaccines if needed.

The pipeline would have cost $1.5 billion and would have added 11,000 temporary seasonal jobs over the 2 year construction timeline, so we can have a new pipeline linking up 2 areas that already have a pipeline running between them. Ever wonder if that $1.5 billion could be spent more effectively to create jobs? Keystone would have also raised gas prices, as the US exports more oil domestic prices increase. The current increase is due to refineries being shut down and global demand increasing, it has nothing to do with Biden.
