Couples earning over $150K a year don't count as middle class. That's pretty much the upper class cut off, and probably why they chose that amount.

@BiBlackCar1 True, you're high on the middle-class ratio, but at those income levels $1,400 is barely anything. You could buy a single week of debt I suppose. If you're earning that number every year then $1,400 just won't do a lot, especially for people that can make financial decisions to change their expenses.

@jimlovesgina Republicans weren't gonna give them anything, and barely gave them anything for months. Why are you surprised people lost their faith in them?
3
Because Republicans hate the people.
3
@akdreaming Nothing in the bill went overseas or to pork projects. The bill included funding for: Schools Vaccine distribution Small business loans Direct payments The only reason they wanted to wait until after the election was because the Republican bill only gave $600 and cut taxes for corporations, doing very little for the people of this nation.
3
@firebir11 You have to file taxes to get the payments, neither of those groups do that.
2
No it isn't. It's going to funding vaccine deployment, schools, stimulus checks and small business loans.
2
Non of the stimulus money is earmarked for foreign aid.
2
@akdreaming It literally does. The bill was help up for weeks because Republican's wanted to lower the amounts given to people and reduce other benefits.
2
@audi9009 Yes, they held the bill in the senate for weeks.
2
@akdreaming Al of the things you listed are for lobbying, not for the programs themselves, they are also not in this bill, but are in separate bills passed.
2
@Thelastdan Senate votes need 60 to pass. They were trying to make a deal with Republican's, but they lowered the domestic aid so substantially that it wasn't worth, so they pushed through using budget reconciliation.
