His credibility is not determined this way, the jury makes that call. 4. There is also material evidence, such as calls between Trump and people involved in the payments, Trump personally signing all 34 checks and numerous financial documents all detailing the hiding of the payment as other expenses.

  10. Everyone agrees that the NDA and the hush money isn't the illegal part. The problems is that Trump stole from his own company by lying about what the payments were for. He falsified business records and personally signed dozens of checks to allow those crimes to occur.

  33.  @TimeLord675  Cohen testified that he overcharged for legal fees when taking payment for the hush money. This overpayment was a theft from the Trump organization, as was the entire hush money payment, and was used to pay off Cohen for his services. Trump literally signed the checks for this.
