Complaining about rights being different doesn't change the fact they are rights, and having limitations and requirements for rights makes them no less rights. As you have proven, even if you are being purposely obstinant, voters have to register to use their right to vote. So if guns are a right, why shouldn't guns and un owners register?

  21.  @keonyang3332  Coming from you that's a compliment. Fine, I'll treat it as a separate law. It pertains to the militia and nobody else. If you aren't in the National Guard or the Selective Service then you have no right to own a gun. All guns should be registered digitally as we have openly shown that this is not an infringement of the militia member's right to own a gun. Licenses should be used to show militia membership or reasonable competence. Training should be required. Psychological evalutions should be required. A good reason to own a gun should be provided, including militia membership, but excluding self defense or other unreasonable reasons. Appropriate measures should be legally required to prove safe storage and transportation of firearms. Firearm sales should only be done through licensed dealers and thorough background checks should be done on all purchases. None of this is against the second amendment according to numerous legal scholars, as has been explained to you numerous times. Happy now? Or are you going to throw another fit?

You still don't even understand what a gun registry is. It's not just paper records of sales from gun shops. In fact when the law was passed that created the requirement to keep paper records or gun sales, the law also banned the digitisation of such a list with the express purpose of stopping a registry. Maybe you just think gun laws are far stricter and better enforced than they currently are, maybe we even agree 100% but you just don't understand the actual laws. Regardless, it's pretty clear that you have nothing else to offer.

  23.  @keonyang3332  Clearly you don't know what a registry is. Gun gets made. Gun gets sold to gun store. Gun store sells gun to private person. Private person crosses the country and sells gun to other private person. That private person commits a crime. Cops find gun and try to trace the serial number. It takes weeks or even months searching through paper records. They find the shop the gun was sold at. They have no idea who the owner of the gun was when it was used in a crime. That's not a registry idiot, that's a record of commercial sale. You may as well argue there is a lip gloss registry because shops have receipts for all the lip gloss sold. It's utterly stupid to call that a registry. Meanwhile, if you want to see who can vote, shove their name and social into an online form and they pop up, address and all, in seconds. THAT is a registry. Can't believe I have to teach you something so obvious. And again, the current laws were literally written the way they were to PREVENT a registry.

  34. Czech Republic has a rather significant gun licensing test that requires knowledge of laws, firearms, ammunition and forst aid. They also require a practical exam with firearm inspection, field stripping, preparation, loading, shooting and handling of malfunctions procedures. Finally they have to pass a health evaluation, checking for amnesia, eyesight, hearing, balance and any known illnesses or disabilities. This is redone every 10 years. You will be banned from ownership if you got a DUI in the last 3 years, misused firearms in any way, or were recently released from prison. All firearms are also registered.

He also wishes for a world without guns, but understands that we need them to protect against foreign invaders. Self defense in this quote is about defense of the nation, not the individual.

It was not within the Federalist Papers and was likely removed in the next draft to correct the obvious error. Want to know what did make it into the Virgina constitution? "That a well-regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defence of a free State; that standing armies, in time of peace, should be avoided, as dangerous to liberty; and that in all cases the military should be under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power."

  47.  @countschad  You should probably actually read the Federalist Papers rather than posting out of context quote after quote. It would make you look a lot smarter. As for this particular quote, it was in reference to the Shays rebellion, which was a group of 4,000 soldiers who tried to take control of an armory. They were anticipated and 8 people were killed before the mostly unarmed mob abandoned their plans. The leaders were killed as a result. If Jefferson was saying what you believe he would have advocated for them taking the armory. He did not. In fact, they were stopped by a militia and restricted from being armed for the most part. It seems that Jefferson advocated for small skirmishes with thousands of protesters rather than an actual armed insurrection. Sounds like he would be greatly on favor of the BLM and antifa movements.

After the War of Independence everyone wanting to own a gun was forced to swear an oath of fealty to the government or be permanently disarmed. 2. All guns were registered and failure to present a registered arm when mustered was punishable. Get wrecked kid.

Meanwhile, the actual founders showed us their opinions on the 2nd Amendment: Right after the War of Independence the government required all people wanting to own firearms to swear an oath of loyalty to the government. They also had a full registry of all firearms, and anyone missing their weapon would be punished. All firearm owners could also be mustered at any time. So maybe look at what the founders did rather than pulling all the out of context quotes you can find.
