@TR-uw2sp Not pointless at all. Registrations make getting away with straw purchases and illegal private sales basically impossible. You can trace the origin of a gun to stamp out black market dealers. It would end the vast majority of illegally owned guns.

@yodaddy82daddy70 No it isn't. Silly American interpretations of rights aren't real rights. Furthermore, as stated very clearly in the Federalist Papers, the second amendment was specifically designed to give an alternative to a standing army. All militia members are subject to the federal government. So if you agree to be at the beck and call of the federal government, then and only then do you get a gun. It's a conditional right even in US law. Republicans misinterpreting it for political gain is not facts.
