Did you struggle to comprehend that Florida, and the South in general, have been performing terribly with the pandemic due to their poor vaccine rollouts and lack of requirements? @sebastienholmes548 It was a democracy. Republic and democracy are not mutually exclusive. You are confusing direct democracy with all democracies, but a republic is usually a type of representative democracy.

Travis Wilson According to your own stats about California and Florida, Florida is doing worse. We have just over half the population, and a higher death rate per infection. We've also had more of those deaths more recently.

Travis Wilson They have twice as many people lol. The rates you posted prove that. Also, most of the California deaths were early on, while Florida performed the absolute worst during Delta.

Travis Wilson Actually they did. States like New York and California performed very poorly in the early days of covid, which makes sense as they are very compact and entry ports to the US. They also had surges last January before the vaccines were available. They did not however see nearly the same issues during Delta. It's also not a handicap if you ignore the rates you are posting that show Florida as worse than California over the whole pandemic. The simple truth is that Florida had the worst Delta performance in the nation. They had over 10K deaths in a single month, and deaths continued to roll in. Even your population numbers are wrong, CA has almost 40 million people, while FL doesn't even round up to 22.

Travis Wilson That's nice dear. I suppose when you can't justify Florida allowing tens of thousands of people to die you stomp your feet and yell like a child. Voters are by and large moronic. They look at inflation, the deficit or even gas prices, and ignore the pandemic that caused the supply chain issues causing those problems. I've had people try to tell me that gas prices are a good measure of the economy. It's an absolute joke. I don't care about your band wagon argument about who will get voted in. People are dumb, and I'm using you as exhibit A.
