  2.  @1SqueakyWheel  Ok, heres my logic. Dog was apprehensive, because owner was acting weird, full of emotions, making the dog feel insecure., They are experts at knowing how someone feels. Then stranger comes along, no weirdness, just good feelings, dog greets. Avoiding looking is normal when insecure, it tells you the dog is signalling it wants to avoid any possible issue. Do you see my point?

  5. I cant hep with the roof or the cats ( hope they get better fast), but cinnamon on the doorstep may stop the ants. It interferes with their scent trails.

  6. perhaps the village does not want it to feel comfy in that area and move.. I am not for people throwing rocks at animals in general, but when you need to get to the water, it is nice to know that it is fairly safe, so in this case.. I am glad they threw rocks, rather than just having it killed.

  7. the main part of more extreme weather is caused by teh sun, combined with the weakening of our own magnetic field, thus allowing more solar wind disruptions etc. We are down atleast 25%, and it will get a lot worse before it gets better again.

  11.  @RunninQHsRock  LOL, well , while I am sure you are correct about some dogowners..I am equally sure that you are wrong about some of them. Look at the breed.. a medium sized poodle, very smart dogs, and very agile. However, if I tried making my French mastiff walk like that... and she LOVES working for treats...She could not do it. Too heavy, and way too front heavy.. beating her would not make a difference. It would damage her. Now, all that being said.. I really dont like people whho train their dogs to walk like that for any length of time.. it is not the natural gait or walking posture for a dog, and dogs are designed to carry 75% of their weight up front.. this poodle carries it all , plus groceries, on her hind legs.. That part cant be good for her no matter how she was trained.

  35.  @clinthowe7629  it was a crossing for pedestrians,. Jaywalking is not a thing in most places and it is certainly not jaywalking when you are using a designated place of crossing. It is not the pedestrians problem to read the mind of every driver to assess if they have enough time to react,. it is on the driver to be ready to stop for whatever may cross in front of him. What is the pedestrian was child chasing a ball.. or a dog.. ? Do you see why it can not be the pedestrians job to make sure a car has enough time?

Yes, like this one, not checking, but it is SAFER if cars have to look out and CARE if there are pedestrians around, what if this was child chasing a ball, would you still say it was on the pedestrian, or should cars be demanded to be able to stop?

  38.  @rachaeljones4731  he would only be correct in the USA, in other countries , crossing the road is legal, even away from crosswalks. The pedestrian should have looked, and he should not have smashed the window of the car, but jaywalking is really only a thing in the USA as far as I know.

And again, this pedestrian was an idiot, but I think you may be a bigger one, wanting it to be legal to kill with your car.

  40.  @kitalalaris  Any person will TRY to stop for a child. Any person would most likely TRY to stop for anyone tumbling out in front of their car. Just like this driver did.. he DID stop. My only point is, a driver should ( ideally) never drive faster than he would be able to stop in time for anything, anywhere. Now, ofc it would be daft to insist that noone drives over 10 miles an hour, just to be on the safe side, but it is very reasonable to demand that speed is low enough to stop in areas like in this video. There is very little time to react since you cant see someone coming until they pass the house, so it makes sense to drive very slow there. You mentioned that a crazy person will ignore the rules, true, that goes for both drivers and pedestrians. But while a pedestrian can , at most, bump a car, a car can kill a person or disable them for life. Rule abiding pedestrians are not why you keep a slow pace.. it is the crazy ones, the unexpected things/people/animals, that you need to be able to stop for. Killing someone with your car, no matter how innocent you may be as a driver, sticks with you for life. So if not for them, the pedestrians, the idiots.. Do it for yourself, for your own peace of mind.
