@Hema G Oh my god.. Ok, I will give you an example ok?
Imagine you live in a place with a lot of little birds that only exist in that place. Cats do not exist in this place, no cats in nature, no cats living with other people.
But there are also mice there, so.. you get a cat.
Your cat does kill some mice, but it is also very happy killing the little birds. After a few years, there are no more birds , the cat destroyed their nests every year, and it killed the adult birds until there were so few left, that they died out.
. And you still have mice, because the cat only kills some of them.
In this story, is the cat a good choice to bring in?
If you say yes, then you really do not give a shit about nature and the different animals in it.

@Zreknarf True, cattle are not native to australia. BUT, they can be kept on non toxic pasture with grasses that are not likely to cause a huge raise in numbers of mice. This is how you feed them. Normal cattle ( not dairy cows of modern standards), would do just fine in the wild.. their herd instincts are intact, they would know what to eat, and what to avoid. No grains or feeding needed by humans if they roam free.
I would say cattle is one of the most natural kinds we have,, sure they have been bred bt humans, but they have not changed so much thay cant live without us . ( again, not dairy cows, they would die out).
Cattle can breed with wild cattle types.. they are absolutely not helpless if left to roam.

@Zreknarf not all grasses are grain.. even if all grasses would produce seeds, if that is your definition, then yes. Modern grains are a world away from being anything like its ancestors.. old types of grain had a few seeds per plant, modern ones has a lot. Just to mention ONE difference.
When we feed cattlle "grain", it is not the green, fresh plants, but the finished seed, ground down to make it absorbable by whoever eats it.
When cattle ( or any grazing animal) feeds on a pasture or in the wild, they eat a plethora of different plants, and they eat them in all different stages of growth. A good pasture contains a multitude of different grasses and herbs, it is not a monoculture, which would leave your animals malnourished fairly fast.
Plants, including grasses and grains, are inherently toxic, even to herbivores. So not even herbivores will binge on just one kind of plant.. they change often, and do not over eat on any spesific plant . In this way, they never get too much of one toxin at the time.
