  2.  @nahuel3433  A massive solar flare will fry any emp cage., It will melt wires and cause avery transformer to explde and disintegrate. It is not a line of sight electrical pilse, it will come through the earth, through the ground. The only way to possibly save some stuff, would be by insulating it from any pissible contact with the world:) There wont be electricity after that, back to candle light and woodstoves.

  3. We are heading into a solar micronova. A cycle that repeats every 12000 years. There is nothing we can do about it, but we CAN prepare for the aftermath, a life without electricity.

  6.  @IrishRepoMan  Considering our magnetic field ( our shield) was way stronger during the Carrington even , than it is today.. 5% is probably optimistic, as it would take far less of a flare/cme to cause far more damage.
