  1. Loved the review! On steering: I followed Chris Harris' recommendation that the steering should be left in comfort for all driving. I found the other modes heavy without any added directness or 'feel'. On fitment: The e92 (and not the e90) has plastic fenders and they contribute negatively to some of the fit and finish. At least on my car they flex quite a bit. They're all metal on the F8x.

  2. I daily drive an e92 335i and I rented an F80 M3 for 4 days in Seattle via Turo. You can make cliche-ish arguments against the electronic steering and the turbo charged S55, but it is so much better in every single aspect. The speed, the handling, the playful rear-end, the transmission, the inputs, all of it. Not for a moment do you feel like you're not driving something special. And at least to me, that is the true mark of an M car. It's been 2 months, and I miss the F80 M3 very very much still.
