  1. I love the 12-year-old in dad's suit analogy for the e39, but for different-ish reasons. I was also 12 when my dad bought my family's first BMW, an M52 e39 528i. I never felt like I was old enough to drive that car. Learning to drive on other non-performance oriented cars, whenever I got the chance to drive the e39, it always required some more shoulder to steer and some more bravery to accelerate. It was so rewarding though, and I've been hooked on BMW since!
