  8. My Grandfather who was in the British army during WW2. He was in Hamburg when Germany surrendered. He soon realised we had made a massive mistake fighting Germany. On returning to Tyneside in October 1945, and seeing children still in their bare feet, he binned his medals.

  35. ​ @spearfisherman308 i think you will find that it's Britain that don't keep it's word. We aren't called "Perfidious Albion" for nothing. Plus Stalin broke the Pact with Germany. He planned to invade Western Europe in July 1941. Germany agents learned of it, and Germany launched a preemptive strike in June 41. A KGB defector in the 1980s revealed all that.
