Comments by "Occident Advocate." (@Occident.) on "How Guy Fawkes night is falling from favour in Britain" video.
Guy Fawkes night celebrated on Nov 5th, was originally an Anti Catholic event. Despite being a Catholic i loved it as a kid in the late 60s and early 70s. However Bonfire night goes back way further before Guy Fawkes. Bonfires were lit on November 1st before the 16th century to celebrate the Catholic feast of All Souls day. It has pre Christian Pagan origins, when bonfires were lit to celebrate the Soltice and remember ancestors. It was linked to Ancestors worship amongst our Celtic forebearers. Halloween was also Celbrated here on Tyneside back then. Its an old Celtic festival of Samhain. We carved lanterns out of turnips and hung them out side our house to "show the sprits of our ancestors the way back". Mum helped us make masks which she called "guising". Halloween was linked to Bonfire nite originally. Bonfire night has died away a lot up here but Halloween is much bigger. My grandkids love it, and my clan has a party for all the kids every year. All dressed up in amazing scary outfits.

@jimtaylor294 He was trying to restore the true faith and get rid of that Fake proddy nonsense, that a King pushed because he couldn't father a child, and wanted a divorce. Sycophants who surrounded him adopted the fake religion to please him.
