  13. True. I knew an old Lady from Hebburn on Tyneside. She recalled a story of a women she knew in the late 1940s, who had married an Arab Seaman who had jumped ship at South Shields. She said, the family disowned the women, as did many of her friends and it was the talk of the town. People were outraged. Such behaviour was frowned upon by that generation. It was the case until the 1970s I recall.

  14. Josephine Baker claimed she "helped" the French Resistance. Could be a total invention. She never claimed she actually fought for them. PS at the height of her fame, she was advertised as a "mulatto". Never described as Black.

  15. Just wait for what's coming when we the minority. For instance in Turkish schools they teach the Children that the ancient people of that region like the Sythians and Parthians etc were "Turkic". An out right lie. Turks didn't arrive in that region until a 1000 years ago.
