  2. Yeah my mum did that in Gateshead in the mid 60s. She put the coins next to the empty bottles. Everyone used to have a front door key hanging on a piece of string inside the letterbox. Kids coming home from School could let themselves in, if their parents were out.

  10. Yeah noticed it in my square. I moved here in 1990. Every garden just had a metre high fence. Now every one has a 6ft fence and every house has a Camera or doorbell Camera. Many have dogs too.

  11. Ball pine hammers, Hatchets, base ball bats, even Golf clubs are all very handy things to have at home if things get out of hand in the future. My Clan has all items in abundance in our homes. 💪

  22. Yeah honesty is a ypeepo thing. I saw a young head scarf lady drop her purse in Gateshead city centre a few weeks ago . I picked it up and went after her, shouting..."hey excuse me". She turned, looked at me shocked. Snatched it out of my hand, and hurried off. Not a word of thanks. ​ @drybokes7055
