  1. Reading through the replies here, I hear the usual praise and admiration for Enoch Powel? Yes he made that great speech in 1968. He stirred up the British masses against immigration. My Father and Uncle staunch union men and Leftists sang his praises at the time. Dockers marched in support. Then what did Enoch do, after the storm he created? Took off to the Political wilderness of Northern Ireland, became a Unionist Politician, drew a wage, and faded into obscurity? If he had formed a Patriotic Party in 1969, that cut across Left and Right it would have took off massively, such was the level of support! He did nothing tho. There's nothing to worship about Enoch Powel. I can think of a far better visionary who was around at the time, but can't mention him by name. He died 20 years ago.
