  11. I've mixed views about Cromwell. His religious fanaticism leaves me cold. But it was par for the course those days. He was a brilliant military strategist. But his greatest achievement was getting rid of the Parasite Monarchy, and making Britain a republic. Pity it had not stayed that way. We need another Cromwell, but minus the Religious Sectarian nonsense.
