  3. Exactly the same in Gateshead city centre. We had 3 butchers, 3 bakers, numerous other shops, like dry cleaners etc, and furniture stores etc, 2 Newsagents. Now they are all gone. But we have 4 Turkish Barbers, and 4 Pawn shops, 3 Vape shops, and 2 Tattoo parlours. My canny old town depresses me now. If it was not for visiting the gym, and the Dentist occasionally I'd not set foot in the place. It's soul destroying, now to how I remember the way it was.

  4. Have a walk around Gateshead city centre. All we have mostly is "Turkish" barbers, Pawn shops and Charity shops and Tattoo parlours. It's got to be the most run down depressing city centre in England. But Labour have ran the town for 100 years, and the locals keep voting them back in? So....

  7. Like drug dealer wars? Our people have no idea how these people live in their own countries? Rival business, taking business away from your business? Simple, make the rival business an offer they can't refuse! In towns in these countries you usually have one family or extended Clan, made up of the biggest, hardest most ruthless men, running the whole town, and the rest of the inhabitants genuflect to them. My niece lived in Turkey 20 years. She told me all I need to know. Corruption is the norm.

  12. Sounds just like Gateshead. Our drug problem is massive. But the problem is allowed to fester. It's decades old now. My nephew died of a Heroin overdose.

Real handsome dude, and skilled apprentice joiner in his time. Threw it all away with the addiction. He suffered depression, cos of the loss of his mum.
