  5. Yes my Grandfather was one of those mug cannon fodder lifted off the beach at Dunkirk. They were totally defeated, and he could never understand why the Germans let us off the hook? Neither could the painters Generals either? Of course we now know, it was a peace overture by the painter. One of 40 that Churchill rejected.
